So, I did the “Draw this again” meme.
This is the oldest picture I could find in my deviantART gallery. Why did it have to be Lulu? WHY DID IT HAVE TO BE LULU WITH ALL THE BELTS AND THE LACE AND ARGH!
Picture drawn specifically to compare with the old one, which is why the pose and such are so similar. I think I have improved at:
- anatomy and proportion
- facial features
- selecting appropriate colours, i.e. the different greys and purples
- using detail to better effect (and not making irrelevant things detailed)
- better differentiation between light and shadow
But I am still either bad at or do a half-arsed job of other things. I will get there, eventually.
