TERRIBLE OLD ART APPRECIATION POST!
Various old artwork of mine from uhhhhhhhhhhh old. I’ve been going through my file backups to try to find stuff/back up my current project, and found all my old stuff.
The datestamps on most of these seem to have reset to 2003, but I know some of these are a LOT older than that.
Coloured! Not entirely happy with this but some days that’s just how drawing things is I guess. :)

I can’t believe this took me over 10 hours. Just one of those days where you can’t really get stuff right so you re-draw and re-draw and re-draw.
I’ll try to colour it later… but given I have family things tomorrow it might not be for a while. I’m meeting the family of my brother’s unborn child for the first time.
I suppose if I have an OTP, this is it: Misato Katsuragi and Ryoji Kaji from Neon Genesis Evangelion.
It’s official, I have absolutely no idea how to colour using a Cintiq. I can’t get a good sense of colour or anything at all, and I don’t know how to make it better. I pretty much hate this but I tried to make it better with my Intuos at the end.
I was also trying to experiment with expression a bit more, but perhaps it wasn’t the best time to try to do that AND learn how to use a new tool at the same time!
EDIT: I fixed her nose up a bit! It was too uppy-downy before and now it’s a little more sticky outy. Also now I’m a bit less drawing-hatey.

I’m not really happy with it but mostly because it is freaking me the hell out.
Trying to draw Evangelion Unit 01 is hard. Very very hard.
